 Welcome to the Fort Stewart Library. The Library’s mission is to provide the military community effective, professionally administered library service and adequate quantities of current and multimedia materials in all subject fields; to support morale, recreation, education and training program and military career development.  Click here to go to our online catalog.

As a new library user, you may find the following information concerning the Library Program helpful.

Online: An online catalog provides computerized access to all materials at Fort Stewart available in the Library.

Books: Over 55,000 volumes are available for use. These materials cover all subject areas as well current popular fiction.

Magazines and Newspapers: The Library subscribes to over 200 magazines and newspapers from around the world.

Educational materials: Books, magazines and other materials are available to support the educational program at Ft. Stewart.

Audio-visuals: The Library has Educational/How To videos, and DVD's. The Library also has a wide selection of Books On Tape and CD's available for checkout.

Reference: A reference collection is available. Information may be obtained or questions answered by visiting the Library or by calling 767-2828/2260.

ON LINE DATA BASES: A variety of research materials are available as well as full-text magazines and newspapers are available via several ON LINE DATA BASES.

Copying: Both a photocopier and a microfiche reader/printer are available at the library.

Internet: This is available for research  and email purposes.

Computers/Typewriters: There are typewriters and computers available for your personal use for Form Flow and Word Processing. You must supply your own paper if you want to print.

Interlibrary Loan: If the Fort Stewart Library does not have the material that you need, we can borrow it from another Library.

Children’s Room: There is a small children’s/young adult collection available.

Dial-A-Story: For a short 3-4 minute story read to you by a professional storyteller, just dial 912-767-2845 (FS).
